EOC 8 physics

Post by haoquanyuan » Sun Feb 16, 2020 12:38 pm

Hello,

Can someone explain to me why the answer for number 12 on this EOC 8 physics exam is all three instead of just the first two. The question asks which of the following are appropriate units for intensity of sound.

I. dB
II. W/m^2
III. Kg x s^3

The answer was all three but shouldn't it just be the first two? thank you!

It looks a lot like a negative exponent is missing here. This should be kg/s^-3.

Let me know if any of the dimensional analysis to arrive here is unclear, I'm happy to demonstrate how we arrived at that result!
