NS FL2 C/P Q17

Post by NS_Tutor_Thomas » Fri Jun 14, 2019 7:24 pm

A student recently wrote us: "Ah yes, let me just spend 5 minutes hypothesizing all of the various alkane combinations and drawing them all out.... I'm sure there's plenty of time for that."

If I understand your concern correctly, it seems that you are concerned that it is unreasonable for the exam writers to expect a student could solve this question in a reasonable amount of time. Since there are only two additional isomers, I believe that a question like this should not take any longer than the other discrete questions. We really appreciate feedback on our materials and try our best to respond to as many questions as possible. In the future, please be more direct about your feedback because it is difficult to understand what you are concerned about when it is written in this manner.

Thanks for your feedback!
