MCAT

Post by krystaleerevanna » Sat Mar 16, 2019 2:04 pm

Hi there! The last time I took the MCAT was in September 2017. My question is, has the exam changed in any way since then? I keep hearing various things. Ex: The psychology section is much different now.

Thanks for the question!

Nothing has officially changed since then, so you should be mostly set! There are a lot of individual reports about how this or that section has changed over the last few test administrations, but keep in mind that the source of this data is not the AAMC but rather test takers (so n=1 for each of them!). I've heard people say that experimental techniques and data are both more important on the P/S section than they used to be, but I don't have a way of knowing whether or not that's true! Plus, I would imagine there is more variability across tests, too, than a sort of "test has changed in x, y, and z ways" analysis could capture.

I'm sorry I can't be clearer than that, but I hope this is somewhat helpful!
