For this particular question, the explanation points to the fact that the model done by the researchers does not take into account heat movements within a system. How do we know this and where can we find this in the passage?

Thank you for the question. In the third paragraph of this passage we find the following statement "researchers created a model of the earth-atmosphere-ocean system and calculated the energy and entropy flux between system components". The key here is between system components. There is only one answer choice that does not involve energy or entropy flux between systems, which indicates our correct answer as this is an EXCEPT question.
