FL #1 C/P Question 46

Postby heatfan » Sun Jun 10, 2018 3:16 am

Hello,

Why is hexane the correct answer. Wouldn't be energetically favorable for it interact with hexane since there both non-polar molecules? Thanks.

Hexane, being nonpolar, will interact with the leucine residues, preventing leucine from undergoing the dimerization process described in the question stem.
