FL #1 C/P Question 41

Post by heatfan » Sun Jun 10, 2018 3:09 am

Hello,

Is answer A wrong because it suggests that there is higher concentration of ADP and inorganic phosphate? But wouldn't that mean that the enzymes in the body are working more at a high rate which results in a high amount of ADP and inorganic phosphate? Thanks.

No, answer choice A is incorrect because enzymes do not alter the equilibrium balance of reactants and products (as A suggests), they only increase the rate at which equilibrium is reached.
