Point of clarity the mRNA is "introduced" into the ribosome in a backward fashion correct instead of being read 3'to5" its read 5'to3" and the Anticodon on the specific tRNA is complimentary :idea: in a 3'to5' fashion and carrying the corresponding AA; this would make sense why the question has them written this way with the stop codons reading in a 5'to3' fashion....is that the idea here?

Hi PoincareConjecture,

I think the main point here is just to remember that in translation, mRNA is read in the 5' > 3' direction -- see this textbook chapter if you want a thorough review (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK9849/). Because both transcription and translation happen in the 5' > 3' direction, DNA and RNA sequences are usually written in the 5' > 3' direction by convention, so when you see statements like "UGA is a stop codon," you can assume that it means "5'-UGA-3' is a stop codon."
