AAMC Sample FL Chem/Phy Q27

Someone please explain the reasoning behind the choice picked for answer; Why is choice C wrong with regards to the doppler effect on this question? Thank you.

Hi PoincareConjecture,

The key to getting this question is to recognize that the ultrasound transducer is in a fixed location, so it's velocity is 0. This means that you only have three terms to account for: both frequency terms and the velocity of the object. The end goal is to determine the velocity of the object, so all you need are the two frequency terms.
