### Physics Passage Question-- Chapter 1 #2

passage about scaphoids/wrist rotation.

Question #2

when summing vectors A and H, does the length of vectors matter? I thought it would be vector C first, but the correct answer is vector E. I see the logic that the sum of a vertical vector A with a minimally left leaning H should give a mostly vertical vector. I just don't get why vector C isn't correct and whether lengths matter when summing vectors.

Length does matter when adding vectors (remember that every vector has both magnitude and direction), but that is not why C is wrong. C is wrong because it is too vertical. The sum of H and A should be roughly halfway between A and H, but C is far closer to A than H.
