A student asked us: "Specific texts were given as examples for option C, so I don't quite understand how it is not supported with an example."

This is another one of those questions that we get asked about a lot, and it provides a great lesson on how to approach questions asking "which of the following is most/least supported with examples or evidence." C is correct because the author never actually gives an example of professors feeling pressured to remove texts, he only gives examples of which texts were removed. In order for C to be eliminated the author would have to give examples of the actual pressuring (such as mentioned a parent group that called professors to pressure them), since that was the actual claim being discussed.

Remember, it is not enough that the author gives an example of something related to the claim, it must be an example of the claim itself.
