Hi,

I'm not sure if I understand the differences between confounding, mediating and moderating variables. Confounding and mediating variables affect both independent and dependent variables whereas the moderating variables affect only the independent variable?

Pentose Phosphate Pathway

The answer stated that the pentose phosphate pathway is more active in adipose tissue than muscle tissue. I thought the pentose phosphate pathway is used by the cell for nucleotide synthesis. Can someone explain this?
