Hi,

I am looking at a titration-based passage question, #8 on Chemistry Qbank 4.

I don't understand how the protein ligand reaction can be both exothermic and endothermic (in the explanation).

Can someone explain?

Got it, so to be clear that means that aldehydes and ketones cannot hydrogen bond usually? But we see hydrogen bonding among nucleotide base pairs...and secondary structure of amino acids?

Hi, For the below question, the answer was A, however, on page 199 of our Chem/Phys book, it says the polarity of ketones is higher than alcohols. Hi, on page 209 of the Bio textbook, I think I may have also found an error. It says Atrial Natriuretic Peptide increases blood volume but I believe it should be decreases blood volume because it causes increased renal excretion of salt and water, thus decreasing plasma volume.

Thanks, Will! For capacitors, how are they likely to be tested on the MCAT as it applies to the human body? I am struggling to i guess intuitively understand the concept of electric potential and why charge stays constant for capacitors in series but not parallel and voltage can differ for capacitor...
