Bio Ch6 Nerves and Ganglia

Hi,

I was hoping for some clarification on this-

Should the actual structures of all nerves and ganglia be considered parts of the PNS that just have connections to the CNS, or are some of them actually housed within the CNS?

Thanks!

AAMC Sample Test Psych/Soc 48

I wasn't able to find much info on which hemispheres are most important for which functions in my books (but I may not have been looking in the right places), and this question seems to be testing just that. Could someone briefly explain what the need to know functions are for the left and right hem...

AAMC Sample Test Chm/Phys q39

I understand the part in the explanation about 6 membered rings being more stable than 4, but aside from that, I'm not sure how I should have approached that question or what I should take away from it. Any help would be appreciated! Also, are the score estimates that I got from the Next Step excel ...

Bio Questions V1 Passage 8

This passage made me wonder about whether or not I'm thinking about SNS and PNS responses incorrectly. The passage explains how acetylcholine dilates blood vessels and how they used norepi to constrict blood vessels in the experiment done. I thought that epi and norepi would dilate vessels everywher...

NS FL3 chm/phys Q13

"Which of the following types of electromagnetic radiation would have the shortest wavelength?"

I was having some trouble following the explanation for this question, so I was wondering if someone could break it down a little bit further.

Re: NS FL1 Bio Q35

Okay, thanks!

Can it also be said that, in both cases, anions are always attracted to the anode because that is the site of oxidation and cations to the cathode?

NS FL1 Bio Q35

I was hoping for some clarification on the electrodes in this particular electrophoresis setup and in general. I thought that electrophoresis takes place with an electrolytic cell, so anions move towards the anode, which is marked (-) but positively charged, and cations or compounds will move toward...

Ch 9 Beta Oxidation ATP Equation

On page 202 of the biochem book, it derives an equation that comes out to be 7n-6=ATP but in lesson 13 pg 364 question 27, Dr. Anthony uses a different equation that I didn't quite follow and am not sure which one to use.

Any clarification would be great.

Thanks!
